Refractive cataract surgery
with mini-monovision, monovision or premium multifocal lens Implants
Refractive cataract surgeryRefractive cataract surgery is a lens replacement procedure, which aims to correct your vision whilst removing your cataract at the same time. This surgical treatment replaces your natural lens with a bespoke lens designed to correct your vision, depending on your prescription. Diagnostic tests conducted at my Harley Street clinic will determine which lens we implant and the target for your result.
All types of eye prescription can be corrected: - short & long sightedness and even astigmatism (a defect in the eye caused by curvature). All at the same time I perform your cataract surgery.
After surgery, your need for glasses or contact lenses should be greatly reduced. You may find you no longer need them at all.
Refractive cataract surgery starts traditionally with the removal of your natural lens (the cataract). Refractive cataract surgery is then different as, instead of your lens being replaced with a standard lens, it will be replaced with a lens determined by your prescription. The result of refractive cataract surgery should ensure that you enjoy great vision for many years to come.
