Fire risk assesments

Fires can have a devastating impact due to the loss of life and you will need to comply with fire safety law if you own, manage or operate a business.

Fires can also have a huge impact on organisations - from a loss of business income and property damage to increased insurance premiums.

How William Martin can help

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 came into force on 1st October 2006, It improves fire safety by placing the responsibility for this on the employer or 'responsible person' for that building or premises.

The ‘responsible person’ for each premises is required to carry out a risk assessment and take steps to reduce or remove any risks. The assessment should consider the effect a fire may have on anyone in or around the premises and needs reviewing regularly.

We are able to undertake fire safety risk assessments to help landlords and occupiers comply with their obligations under the Act.
