Leominster, Hereford

William Martin were instructed to design and build a traditional stone building in Mortimers Cross, Hereford. The property was to accommodate the needs of a disabled client and includes the installation of an accessible bedroom / en-suite providing level access throughout.

The aim was to provide new facilities to allow for 24 hour care and rehabilitation for the client. Additional accommodation including carers care suite was also provided.

The building was constructed in the way it was in order to maintain the character of the local vernacular buildings. It has a combination of natural materials for walls, structure and roof. The rustic and rough appearance has been achieved by choosing natural stone, oak and slate that contrast with the textured white render walls and dark grey powder coated aluminium frames.
